What these terms cover

Accounts, listings, reviews, trust signals and discovery tools.

These rules explain how TrustRiva can be used, what contributors are responsible for, and what the platform can and cannot guarantee.

Platform-specific rules No fabricated legal jurisdiction Plain-language obligations

Using TrustRiva responsibly

These Terms of Use explain the rules for accessing and using TrustRiva, including accounts, software and company listings, provider profiles, reviews, comparisons, editorial content and support features. By using the platform, you agree to follow these terms and any additional rules presented for a specific feature.

01

Account responsibilities and eligibility

You are responsible for the account you create and the information you submit through it.

You must provide accurate information where TrustRiva requires it and keep account details reasonably current. You are responsible for safeguarding your sign-in credentials and for activity carried out through your account, except where applicable law provides otherwise.

Do not share passwords, one-time passwords, private keys, API keys or other authentication secrets with TrustRiva support staff or through public forms. If you believe your account has been compromised, use the available support channels promptly.

TrustRiva may require additional verification for certain account, vendor, listing, review or integrity workflows. A request for verification does not itself guarantee publication, approval, ranking, endorsement or any particular outcome.

02

Acceptable use

Use TrustRiva in a way that is lawful, respectful and consistent with the purpose of the platform.

  • Use discovery, comparison, review and provider features for genuine evaluation, research, feedback and business discovery.
  • Submit information that you reasonably believe is accurate and that you are entitled to provide.
  • Respect other users, vendors, providers and reviewers, including when disagreeing with a review or listing.
  • Follow any feature-specific instructions, review standards, verification requirements and integrity procedures displayed by TrustRiva.
03

Prohibited conduct

Certain activity undermines the reliability, safety or lawful operation of TrustRiva and is not allowed.

Impersonation or deception

Do not impersonate another person or organisation, misrepresent authority to act for a vendor, or submit deliberately false identity, listing or verification information.

Review manipulation

Do not buy, sell, fabricate, coordinate or otherwise manipulate reviews, ratings, votes, evidence or trust signals.

Abuse or interference

Do not probe, attack, disrupt, overload, bypass or interfere with security controls, access restrictions, rate limits or platform availability.

Unauthorised collection

Do not scrape, harvest or extract personal data or restricted content in a way that violates applicable law, user rights, technical controls or these terms.

Unlawful or infringing content

Do not submit material that you know you have no right to use, or content that is unlawful, malicious, fraudulent, defamatory or intended to facilitate abuse.

Credential or secret sharing

Do not publish passwords, OTPs, private keys, API keys, card credentials, M-PESA PINs or other authentication secrets through reviews, reports or support forms.

04

Listings and provider profiles

Software, company and provider pages are intended to help visitors understand and evaluate real products and services.

If you submit or manage a software, company or provider profile, you are responsible for ensuring the information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge, not misleading, and supported where TrustRiva requests evidence. You must have authority to submit material on behalf of the relevant organisation where you claim to represent it.

TrustRiva may edit formatting, categorisation, metadata or presentation for consistency, while preserving the substance of the information. TrustRiva may also request corrections, supporting evidence or clarification before or after publication.

Publication of a profile does not mean TrustRiva endorses, guarantees or certifies the product, company or provider unless a specific TrustRiva verification indicator expressly states what has been verified.

05

Reviews, ratings and user submissions

Reviews and other contributions should reflect genuine experience or a legitimate, supportable concern.

When you submit a review, rating, reply, report, correction request, evidence or other contribution, you remain responsible for the content you provide. Do not knowingly submit fabricated experiences, undisclosed promotional content, confidential information you are not entitled to disclose, or material intended to manipulate another user's reputation or TrustRiva's trust systems.

TrustRiva may moderate, delay, reject, remove, limit or investigate submissions where needed to enforce platform rules, protect users, resolve integrity concerns or comply with applicable law. Moderation decisions may take account of available evidence, account history, content quality, conflicts of interest and other integrity signals.

Businesses and providers may be able to respond to reviews or raise disputes through available workflows. A disagreement with a negative review does not by itself establish that the review should be removed.

06

Verification, Riva Score and trust indicators

Trust indicators are contextual signals, not guarantees.

Read each indicator for what it actually means

A verification badge, Riva Score, review summary, completeness indicator or other trust signal reflects the methodology and evidence available to TrustRiva for that feature at that time. It does not guarantee product quality, future performance, legal compliance, security, financial condition or suitability for your specific needs.

TrustRiva may update methodologies, weights, eligibility rules or evidence requirements as the platform evolves. Changes may affect how scores, rankings, verification states or other indicators are calculated or displayed.

07

Riva Picks, editorial content and comparisons

Discovery tools help organise information; they do not replace your own due diligence.

Riva Picks, Riva Says articles, comparison pages, search results, category pages and recommendation features may use editorial judgement, structured product data, user feedback, eligibility rules and other signals. The ordering or inclusion of a product or provider may change as data, policies, evidence or platform methodologies change.

Unless clearly stated otherwise, these materials are informational and are not professional, legal, tax, financial, security or procurement advice. You remain responsible for evaluating contracts, implementation requirements, integrations, compliance obligations, pricing and suitability before making a purchasing or business decision.

Commercial relationships, sponsorships or paid placements, where used, should be presented in a way that distinguishes them from independent trust and editorial signals. Payment does not entitle a vendor to fabricate reviews, alter user feedback or obtain an undisclosed trust advantage.

08

Third-party products, websites and services

TrustRiva discusses and links to products and providers that it does not operate.

Third-party software, vendor websites, integrations, payment services, support channels and external resources are governed by their own terms, privacy practices and service commitments. TrustRiva does not control those third parties merely because they are listed, reviewed, compared or linked from the platform.

You should review the relevant third party's current contract terms, documentation, pricing, security information and privacy practices before relying on the service.

09

Intellectual property

TrustRiva and contributors retain their respective rights in platform and submitted content.

TrustRiva's branding, original interface elements, software, editorial material, platform organisation and other original content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws and may not be copied, republished or exploited beyond what the platform or applicable law permits.

You retain ownership of content you submit to the extent you own it. By submitting content for publication or operation of a TrustRiva feature, you grant TrustRiva the permissions reasonably necessary to host, store, reproduce, format, display, distribute and moderate that content for operating, promoting and improving the platform.

You represent that you have the rights needed to grant those permissions. If you believe content on TrustRiva infringes your rights, use the applicable copyright/reporting channel so the claim can be reviewed.

10

Service availability and changes

TrustRiva may evolve as features, data sources and operating requirements change.

Features may be added, changed, limited, suspended or discontinued. TrustRiva may also correct errors, update taxonomies, adjust ranking or verification methodologies, change eligibility requirements, or perform maintenance that temporarily affects availability.

Where a change materially affects a paid feature or another commitment governed by separate commercial terms, those additional terms may also apply.

11

Suspension and termination

TrustRiva may restrict access when necessary to protect users, integrity or lawful operation of the platform.

TrustRiva may suspend, limit or terminate access to an account, listing or feature when there is a reasonable basis to believe these terms, feature-specific rules or applicable law have been violated, or when action is needed to protect the service, other users or the integrity of reviews and trust signals.

Where appropriate, TrustRiva may request information, corrections or evidence before taking or reversing an enforcement action. Some integrity decisions may remain in place where evidence is insufficient to resolve the underlying concern.

12

Disclaimers

TrustRiva helps organise information, but no software-discovery platform can eliminate every uncertainty.

Verify important decisions independently

Information can become outdated, incomplete or disputed. Before relying on pricing, integrations, compliance claims, product capabilities, provider availability or other material details, confirm the current information with the relevant vendor or provider and review the documents that govern your transaction.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, TrustRiva is provided on an "as available" basis. TrustRiva does not warrant that every listing, review, score, comparison, link or third-party statement is error-free, complete, current or suitable for every use case.

13

Limitation of liability

TrustRiva's responsibility is limited to the extent permitted by applicable law.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, TrustRiva is not responsible for losses arising solely from a user's decision to buy, implement, rely on or contract with a third-party product or provider based on information available through the platform. TrustRiva is also not responsible for third-party outages, contract performance, product defects, vendor conduct or external websites that TrustRiva does not control.

Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude or limit rights, remedies or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

14

Changes to these terms

These Terms of Use may be updated as TrustRiva's features, policies or operating requirements evolve.

The current version will be published on this page with an updated revision date. Where a change is material, TrustRiva may provide additional notice through appropriate platform or communication channels.

Your continued use of TrustRiva after updated terms take effect means the updated terms will apply to subsequent use, subject to any rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.
