Riva Says Editorial Policy

Riva Says exists to help people make informed software and technology decisions without confusing editorial judgment with advertising or marketplace ranking.

Editorial independence

Commercial plans, sponsored listings and vendor payments do not determine editorial conclusions, Riva Score, review moderation, Provider Match percentage or numbered Riva Picks rankings.

Evidence and attribution

Guides and insights may use TrustRiva review evidence, product/company profile information, public documentation, interviews and market research. Related TrustRiva listings are linked for context and are not endorsements by themselves.

Reviews and updates

Articles can record fact-check and last-reviewed dates. Material corrections should update the article and its review metadata rather than silently preserving outdated guidance.

Commercial disclosure

Where a commercial relationship or other context could reasonably matter to a reader, editors can add an explicit disclosure to the article. Sponsored marketplace modules remain labeled Sponsored and separate from editorial content.

Riva Picks vs Riva Says

Riva Picks is a deterministic evidence-based ranking system. Riva Says is editorial analysis. An article may discuss or link to a Riva Picks page, but editors cannot use Riva Says to manually alter a numbered Riva Picks rank.
